What’s the stitch?
Whether you love to sew, knit, or embroider –or have always wanted to try! –And Sew On… is the studio for you! We embrace the creative process with a learning mindset to introduce skills to creators of all ages. Learn how to “stitch together” practical skills with your own creativity in all forms of fiber arts.
Stitch-by-stitch guided instruction
Smaller class sizes allow for 1:1 instruction for supportive learning and troubleshooting tricky stitches.
All materials always included
No need to hunt around town or the internet for supplies. We’ll always provide you with the tools and materials you need to complete our class projects.
Brave space to learn
Let’s be honest: When you first start learning a new skill, your projects are going to look a little “wonky.” And that’s okay! We focus on progress over perfection. With more practice, you’ll be surprised by what you can create starting with a simple stitch.

Kids’ Summer camps
Mondays - Thursdays 9:30am-12pm June - July
Sign up by the week for our summer camps - each week has a different theme/projects. These are beginner-friendly and all supplies, including sewing machines, are provided. See class page for details and to register.
Hand Embroidery Workshop for adults
Thursday, June 4 | 6-8pm
Khepri Cafe | 106 S Emerson St in Mount Prospect
Participants will learn basic hand embroidery stitches and will go home with a project kit to work on at home. All supplies included - just show up and learn a relaxing new hobby! Sign up here.
Kids’ Weekly Sewing Classes
Thursdays June 11-July 9 4:45-6pm
Burning Bush Community Center in Mount Prospect
This class is for ages 9+. All supplies, including sewing machines, are provided. Planned projects include a bucket hat, tote bag, and hooded towel. Sign up here.
